Rapid-build

Rapid-build buildings, turnkey

A rapid-build building is made of factory-built structures that are only assembled on site. PEGAS ECO designs, manufactures and installs these buildings in-house, from foundations to commissioning.

01 What it is

Made at the plant, assembled on site

A rapid-build building is one whose main structure is produced at a plant. Finished components arrive on site, so the works come down to foundations, assembly and connecting the services.

Overall construction time is two to three times shorter than with conventional methods, thanks to a high degree of factory readiness and no wet processes.

  • Modular buildings

Assembled from volumetric modules with frame, walls, windows and services. One module is installed in 4–6 hours; a building of about 300 m² is assembled in 10–14 days.

    How a module works
  • Steel-frame buildings

Warehouses and production buildings on a steel frame. Heating, refrigeration and humidity control can be added where needed.

04 Workflow

From enquiry to commissioning

  1. 01

    Enquiry and brief

We record the task: building purpose, area, region, schedule, budget and site constraints.

  2. 02

    Task analysis

We assess the climate zone, snow and wind loads, and how the building will connect to services.

  3. 03

    Design

Our in-house design office prepares the architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire-safety sections.

  4. 04

    Approvals and expert review

We take the documentation through to a positive state expert review where the building is permanent.

  5. 05

    Manufacturing

Blank processing, post fabrication, frame welding, painting, transpack assembly, and installation of internal and external services.

  6. 06

    Logistics

Modules travel folded or at full factory completion, depending on distance and site conditions.

  7. 07

    Installation

Frame assembly, closing the envelope, joint insulation, roofing and entrance groups, and distribution of all services.

  8. 08

    Handover

Commissioning, as-built documentation, test records and warranty support.

06 Questions

Common questions

What is a rapid-build building and how does it differ from a modular one?

Rapid-build is a general term for buildings made of factory-produced structures. A modular building is one kind: it is assembled from volumetric modules.

Another common kind is the steel-frame building. PEGAS ECO builds both.

How do modular buildings differ from site cabins and containers?

Standard site cabins and containers are temporary lightweight structures. PEGAS ECO modular buildings are engineered facilities with load, durability and fire safety calculations, a proper foundation, full engineering systems and a service life of at least 50 years.

They can still be dismantled and re-erected without loss of performance.

How long does installation take?

A single module takes roughly four to six hours to install. A building of about 300 m² is assembled in ten to fourteen days.

Overall construction time is two to three times shorter than with conventional technology, thanks to high factory completion and the absence of wet trades.

When can a building be commissioned without expert review?

Temporary buildings require neither expert review nor formal commissioning. Permanent buildings are exempt if they are no more than two storeys and 1,500 m², or consist of no more than ten blocks each intended for a single family.

The basis is clause 2, article 49 of the Russian Town Planning Code.

Can the building be dismantled and relocated?

Yes. The structural scheme allows the building to be dismantled and re-erected elsewhere without loss of performance, useful for shift camps, field facilities and construction sites.

What determines the price of a modular building?

The price depends on the region of operation, the layout, the scope of engineering services, additional external and internal finishes, and fire resistance and energy efficiency requirements.
